Both the team and bot have arrived in St Louis - some by bus (glamorous huh?), some by plane.

Today the team will be setting up it's pit area and going through inspections.  Very exciting to be at the world championships!

FTC Robotics Presentation @ Folly Quarter Middle School 4/15/11

Yesterday, Connor, Logan and Grant continued our outreach program by giving a presentation about FIRST and FTC at Folly Quarter Middle School.  The team did a great job organizing their presentation and discussing FIRST, our team and how it's possible to combine "fun", "learning" and "challenge" into a single activity.

They boys brought our competiton robot plus the small "challenger bot" they built to help with building skills and getting more realistic practice results.  The guys had to learn how to operate the little robot using blue tooth.

As you can see there was a lot of interest in the program.  We brought over 100 flyers (which provided by the MD FIRST team - thanks) and all of them were taken up.  Hopefully we can get Folly Quarter to think about re-starting their FLL program.

Here are the presenters, and yes they the ham's they appear to be!
